January 2026 Patrol
Memorial Parkway participates in the contract policing program offered by Harris County Precinct 5 Constable. For information on the Constable and how the contract program works please visit the Constable Precinct 5 Website.
In January 2026 there were 554 documented contract checks spanning the entire community with equal coverage for all sections. This has not always been the case, and the current security committee has worked diligently to make this happen. Please thank our current officers for their dedication to raising the bar.
In January 2026, there were 155 calls for service with the top 5 call drivers stemming from a suspicious person or vehicle, illegally parked vehicles, family disturbance and welfare checks.
Home Safety Tips:
1. Valuable items, such as televisions, stereos, and computers should be inscribed with an identifying number unique to its owner (do not use your entire social security number).
2. Create an up-to-date home inventory including make, model, serial numbers, other detailed descriptions, and photographs of items of value (including jewelry). This inventory should be kept somewhere safe, out of the house.
3. At least two light timers should be set to turn the lights and TV on and off in a logical sequence when away for an extended time period to give the appearance that someone is home.
