Vision: We see this community as a desirable place that we are all proud to call home.  We are a community of friendly, caring, and respectful neighbors, who cooperate with each other to uphold and grow the value of our properties and our family, friends, and community relationships. 

Mission: The mission of the Board of Directors for the Memorial Parkway Homeowners Association is to preserve and enhance our subdivision by maintaining the common ground areas, and upholding our Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions (CCRs) and polices. The Board serves the homeowners by taking a fair, ethical, and objective approach in representing the interest of all homeowners. The Memorial Parkway subdivision is maintained as a safe, friendly, and enjoyable place to live for each homeowner and family.

Why This Matters

A board resignation on August 11, 2026 left this seat vacant. Without this special meeting, the position would otherwise remain open until November 3 — leaving the Board short-handed through the annual budget, annual elections, and financial reporting. Filling the seat now, rather than waiting, is the responsible path forward for our community.

No director’s position on the Board is being considered. Any action regarding officer positions will relate solely to officer assignments and responsibilities.

This is a special meeting. Board discussion and action will be limited to the matters specifically identified on this agenda. Homeowners may observe the meeting, but the meeting is conducted by the Board.

  • Currently serves as Chairman of the By-Laws Committee, bringing detail-oriented, contract-level rigor to HOA governance.

  • Retired registered nurse — Director of Nursing, multi-state Area Manager (CA/TX/NM/AK), in-service instructor, and owner of Med Legal Services.
  • Skills spanning personnel administration, negotiation, and paralegal work with Houston law firms, plus deep familiarity with the Texas and Federal Register.
  • Educated at Columbus (Ga.) State University, St. Francis School of Nursing (1960–63), and Texas Women’s University (1968–71).

  • Previously served on the Security Committee; currently serves on the Bylaws Committee.
